Wonderful when it works; generally frustrating

We've had this for a few months. The sound is great! But it constantly drops the wi-fi connection. Cycling power restores the connection. But, come on - we have to do this several times a day! Now it won't connect at all. $300+ worth of junk.
We have several other Bose products that are great. This one is not.

Disappointing

I bought soundTouch20 a few days ago.. the effect in the small living room is not great.. I dins the quality of sound average, listening to a variety of spotify selections, often the volume is already quite high to be able to enjoy the sound, and its richness is not impressive. I am considering getting the SoundTouch30 instead, but I am wondering whether I'll be having the same problem if the quality of stream music is not good to begin with.
Response from bose.comBy Julius, Bose Service, January 29, 2016
Hello there,
Thank you for the review. We appreciate the review. The SoundTouch 20 is definitely a great option for most living rooms, with plenty of rich, deep bass and clear highs, as well as volume. You can also adjust the bass in the SoundTouch menu to tailor the sound to your preference.
However, for even more volume and bass, the SoundTouch 30 is an even better choice. It's larger size allows you to cover more area. We offer a 30 day trial so you can hear the product for yourself in your own home in order to make the best decision for you.
If you ever have any questions, we are here to help. Please call us at 800-380-4831. We are available Monday through Friday 9am to 9pm and Saturday 9am to 7pm EST.

I'm not happy with sound quality.

I got this as gift my birthday on Sep 2016. But I was very busy I couldn't have time to listen it. I try to listen the music starting on Dec. Now I found out the sound is so weird. Sounds are not clear and I feel the base is too loud and beat too much. I can't listen the music with this. It is just unbalanced. I feel so tired listening the music from this, I just listen the music my old wave system. I don't know mine is something wrong or this speaker is junk. I better visit store and find out what I can do.

Doesn't support XM Radio
on November 10, 2015

While the website says it supports internet radio and has a globe emblem (making you think universal or all of them), in reality it does not support the biggest internet radio in the entire country: Sirius XM radio. That is a SIRIUS flaw! Mine is going right back and I'll be ordering another brand.
Response from bose.comBy Julius, Bose Service, November 13, 2015
Hello Kalie,
Thank you for the review. The Bose SoundTouch 20III does include an internet radio feature which allows you to play internet radio stations from around the world. It does not currently support satellite radio in the application, but you can easily connect your satellite radio receiver to the SoundTouch 20III either by using the 3.5mm AUX input in the back, or wirelessly via Bluetooth.
We appreciate the feedback and are always looking for ways to improved our products. We have a feature request page here - http://bit.ly/1NuPEOi and will be sure to include your feedback. Thanks!

Don't know if I'm doing something wrong cause the instructions are very poorly organized.... what happened to the book let! Anyway I figured I'd charge my Bose 20 overnight. Woke up, disconnected it and I couldn't TURN IT ON! Don't tell me this 'portable' speaker doesn't have a rechargeable battery!

Awful

My family bought this about a month ago and I was very happy with the sound quality and Bluetooth and thought this was an amazing purchase! But when I went downstairs for a work out (a place without a plug in) I realized that it has to be plugged in to work!! This is a very bad design flaw as my family often needs something like this for fishing, working out, car rides and a lot more. This was an awful purchase and unless you're a person who is in his/her house 24/7 its a piece of junk
