Excellent oven

We bought this oven 2 months ago and love it. We absolutely love the griddle and the burner sizes and positions. The oven preheats very quickly and maintains a steady tempurature. The convection feature is great and so is the steam clean feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

my reservations about this stove

I 'downsized' from a top of the line12 year old GE Profile because it had a burning wood odor when it was heated to 400 degrees. Appliance Service and Electrical contractors were unable to establish the cause. The oven and surface cooking was otherwise perfect. I didn't need all 'the bells and whistles' of the new Profile. Although an independently functioning 81 year old, I'm cooking and baking less and saw no need to have to 'learn' how to operate the various functions that come with a new Profile. (I understood from the illustrations and descriptions that it had MANY functions which I likely would not have used.) The price was also many hundreds of dollars more than the cost of this model, which appeared to be all that I would need.That said, there isn't an indicator light so I can no longer tell when the burners are on! Dangerous, no? I haven't yet been able to set the clock. Although the directions say 'hold 3 seconds', it's not clear what to hold 3 secs...The cook racks that hold the pots elevate them inches above the heating units, making reaching them quite difficult for me (I'm 5'2"). Additionally, the racks are extremely heavy for my arthritic fingers, often requiring me to wait until someone comes over and lifts and washes them. The oven seems to operate well, although I find stove top cooking generally easier than bending over the hot oven door. The timer bell is not loud enough for me, if I'm not very close to the oven.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
