Stove is now two years old. My first one had to be replaced because the bottom drawer would not stay in. Should have been a warning to me. Stylistically, the stove itself is great. However, my knobs are now peeling off (no, they didn’t go in the dishwasher) as are some other parts of the stove. The oven does not bake evenly which is incredibly frustrating and the middle burner is useless as the burners don’t have any power. And it doesn’t stay level. Going to sell it and buy a well made product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2 years old, has been undergoing major repairs twice. Gas leaks repaired, now the oven does not come on. Other GE appliances work fine but this range will end up being completely rebuilt. Should last more than two years.

Before using this product I use to be fan of GE appliances. But now I am not happy. As within two year of usage, I saw three major problems with the product. 1. Door front glass popped out from its place (top portion) where it was sticking with some kind insulation/glue. 2. Door handle's silver part cracked and came out. 3. Even after proper usage, coating of center griddle/plate is gone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

KNOBS ARE PLASTIC WITH SILVER COATING

NOT WORTH THE MONEY. PLEASE REVIEW ALL COMMENTS AND CHECK THIS PRODUCT THOURGHLY BEFORE PURCHASING. OH, ONLINE STATES THEY ARE NOT MAKING THIS PRODUCT ANYMORE. I WONDER WHY !

On Stainless and Slate models, the knobs are electro-plated plastic but they are weighted so they have the feel of metal knobs without the heat issues.
Please know that as technology and styles change, new product designs, features and model numbers will develop and replace older appliances that become discontinued. Griddle is awkward for cooking certain things.

Cooked pancakes and they were fine. Cooked hash and worried that there was no way to control splatter. Taking the hash off the griddle required the use of a second tool along with the spatula as there is no wall like there would be in a frying pan. Also, The grates stand up very high which means there is less clearance between the burner top and the above-stove micro. My micro has a feature that turns on its fan if there is too much heat reaching from under it. My coffee pot is next to the stove and I have bumped my coffee cup against a tall grate more than once. Otherwise, the quality appears to be excellent and the burners and oven are fine.

JUST OK RANGE

Purchased a month ago and had great expectations, but went from a 35 year old heavy duty stove with lots of options to this thin and flimsy one. Disappointed that there is no oven light switch and the only way to turn on the light is to open the oven door..seriously?? The bottom draw is so thin and light and doesn't slide in and out smoothly..very cheaply done...not worth the dollars.

No Oven Light swirch

I would have given this 5 stars but the unit does not have an external switch for the oven light and the warming drawer is flimsy. It would have been better to make a bigger oven and get rid of the warming drawer
