I started off with a gas range and switched to ceramic/electric and regretted it ever since. Love cooking with gas. Predictable and reliable.

I have been very happy with this GE stove. Love the griddle in the middle and the 2 large BTU burners. Happy with the purchase.

When you turn the oven on it is much louder than my previous oven. Stainless steel shows lots of dirt. Otherwise, a good oven

we didn't do a LOT of research when we chose this...for a variety of reasons. i have always like GE products and have been more than happy with them. we re-vamped our kitchen and purchased 2 other GE Profile products and added this one to our list. right outta the gate, have to say that this oven heats up quickly and bakes like a dream. that's VERY important to me! also, my husband really wanted that center burner with the griddle - i really didn't care about it. that said, i started making pancakes on it and...yeah...i'm sold! i've never been a fan of non-stick surfaces due to whatever those surfaces are made of - chemical coating, etc. - i don't know what's on this surface, but this heavy duty griddle does an amazing, evenly cooked job on my pancakes and i am thrilled! i love, also, the fact that there are different size burners on the other 4. makes so much sense with various size pots/pans. we have only had this for a short time but my guess is that i can come back here in a year and will be able to say the same things about this appliance :)
oh...one more thing! the fact that you can clean this oven WITHOUT chemicals was one of the top sellers for me. it has a self-cleaning option or steam-cleaning for in between. yay!

Exactly what I wanted

This is exactly what I was looking for. The oven that we originally had when buying the house was also a GE & worked great, but time for an update. I LOVE the griddle in the middle. It can be swapped out for a grate (purchased separately). I love the convection feature also, which cooks the food through more evenly. It looks sleek and matches our other stainless steel appliances. The buttons and features work exactly like our last oven. I didn't want anything too complicated while cooking. We've only had the oven for 3 weeks, but it's living up to our expectations so far. (Oh, I also like that this was made in the USA).
