Great Value and Great Features

We bought this oven range because we wanted to upgrade our current one. The center griddle has already seen its usefulness. The first day of installation my kids started cooking grilled cheese sandwiches on it. What a hit! The second day post install we cooked a turkey, a chicken and a tri-tip steak using the convection feature. Wow all that food cooked to perfection! It made our party a great success.

Nice style with practical function

We recently purchased this range with a complete suite of GE appliances, So far very happy with range and only thing I would try to improve, would be by adding an accessory, like a light switch kit for turning on the oven without opening the door, a ul rated momentary on/off button could be mounted near dial knobs and wired in series with the oven door light circuit. Or I will do it myself after the warranty expires on the range.
Other than that, we really like our range and will post in the future of the durability of the range.

Needed to replace a gas stove and am so enjoying my new one! The convection oven is such a huge improvement! Everything bakes evenly and thiroughly, something I was never able to do with 9ld one. My sin uses the griddle umerous times a week for sandwiches. Definitely his favorite feature! Thrilled with the simmer burner, and the quick boil. Every burner performs as it should, making cooking a pleasure. And it look great as well.

Haven't got the hang of the oven, but heats up fast. Hard to clean top of stove.

Ups and downs

First of all I will say that I love baking with this stove. That being said it has not been without problems. First stove delivered badly damaged. Next stove delivered no damage BUT on the R front burner the lo setting did not work and the center burner head did not sit evenly. This stove came with a flat griddle for the center burner. I ordered the grate for the center burner and it came cracked. I called and I will say the Customer Service woman I spoke was as nice as could be. I was overnighted a new grate and it was fine(because I insisted it be packaged with bubble wrap, etc). My husband called and spoke to Customer Service about the burner problems and when the repairperson came to the house he had to ORDER NEW VALVES and BURNER HEAD for a BRAND NEW STOVE.
As far as the cleaning - the steam clean setting does NOTHING. Cleaning the top of the stove is a challenge - any grease is very difficult to get off.
Positives are that it bakes like a charm and I bake almost daily. I do love the fifth burner.
This is our first major GE appliance and I guess we just expected more.

Steam clean option

Love the range! Steam clean option is not very effective however. But over all the heating elements do provide even cooking temps. Love the convection option... no more burnt cookies!!
