Just one thing missing.....

I bought this range to replace a very old one in my kitchen so naturally it's 5 stars better than the one I was using. However, I am shocked that there is no feature to turn the oven light on without opening the oven door. This is a feature that is so basic I didn't even think to look for it. I do a lot of baking so that's a feature that is important to me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Why did you even bother with a glass door on the oven when there is no oven light except when you open the door? Is this an engineering mistake. Also, storage drawer is too fussy to close--goes off track too easy. This stove is not as good as my GE Spectra Electric range from 2003.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Product for the Price

The biggest problem is when you first use the oven it will stick on the house getting rid of all the chemicals that are in the oven. You need to run at least once, for us twice, the self cleaning to get rid of all the smells. Unfortunately for us it also kept setting off the smoke detector and also the fire alarm which was a major problem. Since then the oven and range have been a good product.

I loved my grill in my old stove and this one has one and even bigger. I love how it cooks and bakes! It is definitely an upgrade so I am really pleased.

Great Gas Stove

We just moved into a new home and this was our first appliance purchase. I love the griddle top, and the fact that is has multiple uses. The unit is also very easy to clean. The only down fault that I've noted so far is that you cannot turn on the light inside the oven, unless you open the door. This can make baking a little difficult as I'll have to open the stove to check my food. But otherwise, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Oven light on upgraded model

Love this stove! When purchased I was told that the stove didn't have a oven light button you had to open the oven for the light to come on...well surprise!! this model has a oven light button for the light to stay on or you can just open the door...Glad I purchased this model! Had read reviews before I purchased and all the reviews was saying this was the only drawback...but they do have a updated model......JGB700DEJ2BB
