Vertsatile replacement for an old workhorse.

I bought this unit to replace a 43-year-old electric range. The installation and fit were quick and smooth, the learning curve was gentle, and everything works great. I will probably also get a matching vent hood with my COVID-19 stimulus payment.

Gets the job done

We bought this range the day before the pandemic shut down our city. It was one of the only ranges our local merchant had in stock. It is very basic and it is cooking our meals adequately.
PROS
1. We like its appearance.
2. It is fairly easy to clean.
3. The sounds for the timer and operating the control panel are pleasant.
CONS
1. Quite a lot of heat escapes when the oven is on. It is not energy efficient.
2. The oven does not heat evenly. It has hot spots.
3.The touch pad controls are awful. It takes a lot of pressure to get the buttons to operate and it is quite frustrating.
4. We bought this make and model because our old range was broken and this range was one of the only ones available during the pandemic. We would have preferred another brand as we have not had good luck with GE appliances in the past.

Very happy with this replacement in general. Only shortfall is the clarity of heat levels on the control panel. Does not seem to take even steps up.

Love the GE Profile! The burners heat up extremely fast and the options for burners is very nice as well! Have not used my oven yet but loving the stove top!
