We up graded from black electric to SS gas.

installed the stove in a short time and started using it with in 20 min of cleaning up, so far no problems.

We purchased this range primarily for the griddle feature. The flame beneath the griddle is not adjustable from high-medium-low. It is a very small flame and is not suitable for grilling. After multiple service visits, we were told that the griddle is more for warming than for grilling. It takes over 15 minutes to brown a piece of bread.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had a gas stove from 1998 and the new stove is so much better starting with the electronic starting feature down to the broiler on top of the oven instead of under the oven.

I bought this a month ago and it has been great to use. It took a while to understand the oven operation, since no owner manual was included with the range. If you want one , the little brochure read you could download a copy on the GE website, or call for one to be sent to you. One should have been with the range.

Gas is great!

Switched from electric to gas and I am glad we did. There is more control of the heating levels. Simmer is simmer and high is high and you have control of every temperature in-between.
