Simple functions

I have no serious complaints other than the set temperature is not displayed. You need an oven thermometer to know that the oven is at the desired temperature. That is a simple function that EVERY model should have. Other than that design flaw, I will still recommend.

This GE Gas Range/Oven is all that a real cook needs. We replaced our almost 25+ year old Gas Range/Oven and we are still amazed at our new GE's overall features, it is like stepping into the 21st Century and finding out what others were enjoying all along. Love it.

OK range, but cheap, flimsy construction

Our 30 year old range died, so we had to replace quickly. My wife did not want a range / all the bells and whistles, so we "settled" for a GE, not our first choice, but not much to chose from if you want a range w/o all the frills. Burner all function as advertised, oven temp was off, so needed resetting, which is a pain to do (the digital panel required pushing two buttons at the exact same instance, practically impossible).
The front of the lower storage drawer was damaged, so needed replacing, no big deal, but the construction of the drawer is, to say the least, cheap and flimsy. Metal is probably thinner than tissue paper, drawer flops around when you pull it out, and w/o any stops, falls on the floor.
Functionally at this point, no problems, but I don't think it will last half as long as our previous range.

It's nice I got the wrong one my top was suppose to be light gray but it's dark gray so I'm not happy

Motherboard failed

The range was installed and everything worked fine. 7 days later, my renters tell me the oven isn't working. Tech came out and the motherboard has failed. Now on unit #2....only time will tell

Not the greatest range/oven I’ve ever owned but it does the job. Drawer on bottom for storage tinny and awkward. Oven runs too hot. I was told there is nothing I can do about that. Hot air when oven door is open singed my eyelashes. Oven door needs to be open 5-10 seconds before roast or cake is retrieved. Range controls hard to regulate. Price is very low so I don’t feel as if I’ve been cheated.
