Gas smell - after four repair attempts to fix

House smells like gas when preheat is used from day one. Very strong and so far, after four repair attempts, they are unable to fix the issue. Hoping GE sees this so we can start the process of an exchange/upgrade

Disappointing Effort from GE

2 major issues: there is not enough of an indent in the back to allow room for the average gas line and shut-off valve. Now I have to incur the expense of a plumber to fix this mess in the middle of my kitchen. Second issue: the oven light does not automatically turn on when you open the oven door. They consider this a "feature" so you don't have to open the door to check on the food. It's a major inconvenience. Why can't we have both an on/off switch and automatic on when you open the door? Regretting this purchase

You have not allowed me enough time for an evaluation......so far I have found it to perform well......I have not cooked with gas for 50 years...still on a learning curve....

This range is great. The burners have the amount of heat desired (and more). The oven heats up quickly and cooks evenly. The only thing I found so far to be a deterrent is the fact that I had thought black wouldn't show streaks, but it does. Not as much as stainless, but they are there.
I would recommend this to a friend!
