I just bout this a week ago coming off a 60 year old GE stove that I sold that still worked. I was downsizing from the 40 inch old stove to a 30 inch . Its taking me a bit to get use to the new one. Both are electric. So far so good and it looks great. If it lasts as long as the old one that would be great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This stove is just what I've been wanting. Beautiful, easy to clean glass top cooking surface with 5 different heating zones. It has the third rack, it steam cleans, and is a convection oven. Love it!

1st use of oven - Perfection!

I made cookies - perfection! It was a delight to use my new GE range. The fast boil is just that. I was surprised how quickly water boiled. I really like that the GE range's timer chimes about a minute before the set time expires. I've only had the range a week. I dearly hope it keeps performing as well as it has done so far. I

Top is extremely susceptible to scratches

Overall it's a wonderful oven. Quickly heats up, beautiful appliance. The only thing is the top is extremely susceptible to scratches and burns. Since day one I tried keeping it very very clean but, no use.
Not sure if there are any other brands or GE which make a nonscratch, non burn surface. If so, buy that one.

I needed a new range immediately and this was the only one with the features I wanted that was available for next day pick-up & in my price range, and I shopped at 5 different stores. The top is not as easy to keep clean as my last smooth surface range and it takes longer for the burners to heat up and much longer for the oven. The top also takes longer to cool down. I do like the larger bottom drawer, that was a must!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
