Heating elements are quick to heat and maintain proper temperature. Tried convection oven for first time baking cookies and cooked them to perfection.

We have used this range for only 7 weeks. Over all, it works very well. We zeroed in on buying a GE range because Consumer Reports found that GE ranges have the best repair record of any other manufacturer. The oven and burners heat up very fast. I like the flexibility of the oven having three racks. I have not used either of the self-cleaning options yet.
I have three initial suggestions. One is that the lower edge of the stainless steel knob panel angles too far out. It needs to remain more uniformly vertical. The angle prevents a taller pot, whose diameter fits the small back burner, from sitting squarely on the burner. The second is that the burner knobs need to be smaller, higher and/or recessed. To change a knob setting one needs to reach through the steam escaping from a covered tall pot. The third suggestion is to have a warming drawer. This feature is very useful for many reasons. I was told by the sales representative that one only finds warming drawers in gas ranges now. We very much miss this feature that our last electric range (not a GE) had.
I am rating this range only four stars and recommending it with reservations for the above reasons.

The first range was delivered and had been damaged at the warehouse. When checking out the features of the second one that was delivered discovered the convection fan was not installed correctly. Repairman came out and realized he didn't have the correct type of screw to fix it. Part was ordered and he is scheduled to come out September 19th...10 days later. Hopefully it will be fixed! I have discovered that the cooktop cooks a lot hotter than my old standard range. There are some features I haven't tried yet, but I am looking forward to it once the convection fan is fixed. It seems like the back burners are too close to the knobs. Hoping this won't create problems in the future.

Sharp looking! Love the slate color!

By purchasing the stove, we are now happy owners of all new kitchen appliances in the slate color. The color is sharp and easy on the eyes. The stove heats up quickly and we use the oven with all three slide in shelves at the same time. Love it!
