I bought this range almost three months ago. This range replaced a 25 year old GE Profile range. I regret not re-purchasing a Profile. There are two heating elements that have a choice of size. The smaller on both eyes are slow to heat. The instrument panel had a slight crinkle from the beginning. The convection oven makes a lot more noise than I had with the older model. Having listed all the faults, I must say, it looks beautiful in my kitchen and it was a good buy for the price I paid.

Cooks great, but a pain to keep top clean

Love how the range cooks, my first time with a convection oven and I love it. I really like the hidden elements in the stove and the slate color to keep clean. But why GE would you install these easy maintanence features then put the most awful glass cooktop on it. I had a previous glass top that was over 20 years old and was so easier to keep clean. I have new pans that have clean bottoms, the food scorches are easy to remove if done quickly. My problem is the top is so hard tho keep streak free. Also, after cooking a few times some of the white dots on the top are more noticeable then others.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This range is great, for a smaller size kitchen. The slate finish is pretty and works aesthetically in my vintage kitchen. I have a microwave and fridge that matches, nice products. The features are so easy to use. When roasting, baking or broiling, the oven cooks to perfection, and even has a convection feature with we love, when baking. The convection has a roasting feature as well which keeps our foods cooked juicy and just right. I will always use GE appliances in my house, its a product that has been used for generations.
