Love the oven, the radiant tops are a challenge.

I always wanted a convention oven and the JB750 delivers with a lot of options plus a two-temperature broil and a warming feature similar to the one-speed warming element up top.
It's a great-looking unit that I've found no cleaning issues more difficult than with an ordinary white ceramic-finished stove like they used to make.
I'm finding the ceramic-glass to be easier to maintain than some reviewers have reported. After a couple of months I have gotten the hang of it. Just give it a couple minutes with a wet soft cloth then finish with Cerama-Brite and you're good.
Nor have I had any issues with scratching to surface. I don't scoot the pans; I lift them up to shake or move and no problems, even with a copper-clad revere Ware one I have.
The challenge on the radiant elements are two-fold.
The first one is the way one dial controls two heating elements.
The split front burners are calibrated with one split-range knob that controls both the small inside and the larger outside element.

So for the small inside front element is run by the left side of the front dial,where "High" is placed at the top-left of the dial (which would be about 11:00 on a clock face) and the outside larger element is controlled by the right-side of the same knob, and "High" for that one is on the upper-right at about 1:00 on a clock face.
The other one-burner knobs are low at 11:00 and high at 1:00, like 'normal' stoves.
So the first challenge is remembering that the small fronts are higher going clockwise on the left side of the dial and the large fronts are hotter going counter-clockwise on the dial. IMO there should just be separate knobs all going the same direction.

Also, since one-half a knob will control the entire range of an element, the physical position of the knobs is 1/2 the distance to achieve the same temperature setting as the full-range knobs. What this means is that 1/2" is a small temperature change on a full-range knob but can make a BIG change in temperature on the two-burner knobs.
The second challenge is the "momentum" of the radiant-ceramic tops. It takes quite awhile to run up to a set temperature and takes a long time for them to cool down.
Add to this the capacity for the elements to get REALLY HOT if you want them hot, and walking away from the stove for a few minutes can turn out to be a pretty bad idea.

I joke to myself, it's as though somebody had said to a G.E. engineer, "Gee, these Ceramic-radiant things sure can't get very hot." and they thought, "Oh so you think? We'll see about that."
I feel that I have my 'sea legs' now and am enjoying the JB750. I think if you're OK with slow start and slow cool-off and can watch the temps you'll like this. The Convection oven works great for crisping chicken and browning roasts (Convection Bake is my go-to for that.) and the controls for things like timed start and timed bake are really handy.
One last wish: that the chime for the timer were about 4 times louder. Unless you're in the kitchen, you can't hear it.

better cooking

we love our new stove, although it would of been nice to have someone actually show us how things work. had some learning curves, outside of that wish the oven heated up fasted to desired temp, seem to take too long, we are enjoying a better/cleaner cook top, the oven when it does reach temp cooks well,

Really like this new stove. Like the feature of the two burners in one. You can use a small pot or a large one. Very handy. Have used the oven and I'm completely satisfied. Used the convection oven and was also completely satisfied.

This is a great ceramic cooktop range

I am very satisfied with my new GE Range. I gave it a 5 because the ceramic cooktop is difficult to clean.
The 3 burners (back and right front) heat up much faster than my prior range. This is a real plus.
The Power Boil burners on the left front side are even faster and stronger.
I like that the timer does not require me to put in all the digits for minutes as I had to do in the prior oven. , i.e., 5 for 5 minutes instead of 5.00. 500 is 5 hours in the GE.
I recommend you read the manual.
The oven does a fantastic job of pre-heating quickly. The European convection oven works excellent also.
I used the convection for Pizza and the crust and topping was a lot better.

To clean the cooktop, I used the scrubber and liquid that came with the range. It did not do a very good job of cleaning the ceramic.
Even with no spills, the ceramic cooktop seems to get smudges or ??? that have to be cleaned or it really builds up and becomes a real chore trying to get it off. I also have to use a regular utility scraper that my spouse has in the workshop to scrape the cooktop if there are any spills that get burned on.
If any egg gets on the cooktop when cooking eggs it is also difficult to remove.

I read to use the Mr. Clean squares to clean the ceramic, so I'm going to try that next. I have been afraid that I might ruin the finish.

I’ve been using my new range for a month now and love every minute! It makes great little sounds when turned on and off. it cooks at the correct temperature and I love the front window. I can see everything without opening the door with the heat on. I’m so glad I bought this. I still have more things to discover.
