Frustrating experience

I’m loving everything about this range except for the drawer underneath which I use frequently as I store my pots and pans there. Upon delivery it was incredibly difficult to open. The time it has taken for this problem to be resolved has me frustrated. Not a happy customer.

Oven unreliable.

Very disappointed in this stove. It looks great, but the oven temp readout is 50 -100 degrees off from the digital readout. I had to purchase a oven thermometer to discover why I was having problems with baking in the oven. Repairman explained oven sensor is located at the top of the oven, adjacent to the heating element, and gives a false reading to oven controls. No way to repair design flaw. Now, after turning the oven on, I must wait 20-30 additional minutes after the digital registers the temp that I set, before the oven thermometer reaches the desired temp. It is aggravating to the point that I wish I had not purchased this stove. For someone who loves to bake, this stove is a disaster.

Unreliable heat

This was purchased as part of all slate appliances for my kitchen. Love the color and that the heating element is not exposed which makes cleaning the bottom easy. Other than that, there isn't much else I'm happy about. The oven takes forever to come to the correct temperature. It will tell you it's preheated but it's not even Close! In some cases more than 100 degrees less than what it's telling you it is. Also, there is no low on the burners. On low, sauces are still at a full rolling boil. So disappointed with this stove!

Great Stove

I previously had a GE electric stove and I liked it. This is what encouraged me to look at GE stoves. I was hesitant to buy the ceramic top but I"m glad I did. You must get the proper cleaning accessories and wait till the surface cools before trying too clean..I learned this the hard way. It takes a little bit of effort to keep it clean after each use but it's totally worth it to have a nice clean surface. I really don't miss the heating elements & pans..those were impossible to keep clean! Stove works great and looking forward to many years together!

The stove top is impossible to keep clean. I always have a spotless kitchen and every time I use this stove, it takes major effort to keep the top looking new. After only 1 month's use, I am sure there are permanent marks on the top. I would return it if I could. I hate it.

Dying two months after warranty ran out!

I replaced an earlier version of this range (which came with the house) that died a year after we had bought the house. Now, two months after the warranty expired, I'm seeing the same problem that caused me to end up replacing the last one! The 'hot surface' warning light stays on at all times, and the most-used burner no longer cycles on long enough to boil a tea kettle. The GE recommended repairman said the entire surface unit - which is over half the cost of a new range! - had to be replaced when the electronics behaved in this manner. I used to trust GE appliances, but I will not be buying another.
