Convection is great

We always rely heavily on reviews when making purchases but rarely write one. I wanted to let others know we have been very pleased with this range. We had to make the purchase sight unseen due to Covid 19. I have a top of the line countertop convection oven I have used for a few years but this range's convection capability definitely wins. I want to think it is the 3rd element with fan that makes the difference in our baked goods. We baked frozen cookies first with normal bake and then with convection bake. The convection baked ones were more evenly browned and did rise better and did not spread as much. I have Stemade baked bread, homemade chicken pot pie and roasted vegetables so far. All have come out perfect. The powerboil on the rangetop works very quickly and intense. Overall we have been very pleased. I do look forward to trying the steam clean function when we need it.

Expected more

So many features on my old GE stove are no longer available on this, a more expensive stove. Such as an outlet with a timer attached, and a light that shines on the cooktop surface. The latter would be especially helpful since the cooktop is black and reflects no light whatsoever.Also, it never really cleans up completely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The color (slate black) and look is stylish and does not show fingerprints or dirt very much. Using the recommended cleaner keeps baked-on spills and scratches away. The controls are intuitive and work well. The warming area takes a while to heat, but is useful. The oven provides a lot of space and a good bake. Nice to have the choice of regular or convection oven. Good number of rack positions.

While the range functions adequately, the bottom drawer is flimsy and twisted. We have waited nearly three weeks for a replacement. Very disappointing.
