Lasted only 2 years - get an extended warranty!

We enjoyed using this range for 2 years, then it went on the blink in a dangerous way. The lower oven would not turn off, and just got hotter and hotter. The only way to turn it off was by shutting of the gas. Turns out the main computer board was shot. Luckily we had purchased an extended warranty. There were no parts available to repair it so the warranty company replaced the unit with a new one. Needless to say we bought another extended warranty. Still like the double ovens (Although the lower oven is floor level - elderly people might have trouble getting that low) and love using gas (previous oven was electric). Note: We discovered the real oven temperatures were off significantly, and needed to be adjusted per the manual. Now they are spot on.

Terrible, terrible stove!

I bought this about 2 years ago - my most expensive range ever and one that I expected to work well, given many positive reviews. It doesn't. The top oven in particular will not hold temperature - I pre-heat to temperature, but have to cook twice as long as directed. When I check, the oven that says it's at 350 is actually at 275. There's a way to increase or decrease temperature by 35 degrees, but that is not enough, and it also resets when power goes out. The bottom oven also cooks inconsistently and is difficult to get things in and out of as it is so low to the ground. My last complaint is that the non-stick griddle finish is horrible. Using a Scotch Non-Scratch sponge scratched the finish the first time I cleaned it, and it's only gotten worse since, no matter how I baby it. This expensive gift to myself has been the worst ever! We plan to replace it and will have to figure out what to do with it. Piece of junk!

I would give it a 4 star if the top oven would stay consistent in heat with the temperature it is set at.

Excessive Repairs

Within the first year I had to have this repaired several times. I now have two more repairs, the convection bake has stopped working and the center burner won’t stay lit. I’m extremely frustrated with the money I have had to spend on repairs and that there is only a one year warranty and you still have to pay for the service call!! They obviously don’t have much faith in their products with only a one year warranty. Ovens should last a lot longer than that and they should stand behind their products and cover them!

Nothing but problems

The first 3 stoves that were delivered - the doors wouldn’t close properly. Once I finally received a stove that worked (4th one), I started baking! I bake every day and the temperature doesn’t stay true to the setting. It is either way lower or higher, in both upper and lower ovens, than set temperature. Wish I would of purchased something different. For the price of this stove - I expected a bit more.

I could literally paste every other bad review!

Where to start. The ovens are aweful. Nothing cooks correctly. The temperatures are not steady. I have followed the guide to reset the temps (have also had a GE serviceman do it). You must rotate your food quarter turns to cook correctly.
The stove is impossible to clean and the middle griddle scratches while cleaning, imagine what the pans next to it that overlap the burners do to the finish.

Temps way off

My temp is 50 degrees off. Not what I’d expect for a brand new GE product. Will return to the store. I’m an experienced baker and this oven is not worth it.

Temperature issues

I did my review on this product and was so excited to purchase it. Since the moment I began using this oven, the temperature has been off. GE service has been great and came out to fix it, but they have yet to fix it for any length of time. I can't even recommend that people purchase this product - spend the extra money and get something different.
