Griddle is poor

The griddle lost its non-stick surface very quickly. We only used soft cloths and soap to wash it.

Have had this range for a week. The two front burners didn't work upon delivery and they still don't.

Love having a double oven

This gas stove and oven cook evenly and are very convenient. Only issue is in the first 1-2 months, the oven has a bit of an odor when using it. This is dissipating.

Love the double oven, look, and features

I had need an oven for over a year and spent a lot of time researching. I had always wanted a double oven and did not want stainless steel. I bought the slate GE double oven and it is gorgeous. I love all of the feature of the stove top and oven. Also, the model I have has the convection on the bottom. I had never had this before. I have not had a chance to evaluate this option; but, it is a nice feature to have. Love this product and would highly recommend it.

Cooking up a storm

We've had this oven for 2 months and we love it! A roast in the bottom at 325 and veggies in the top at 450. Perfect meal! We are already planning Christmas cookie baking at my place. The griddle makes amazing pancakes, french toast and grilled cheese but sometimes doesn't get clean the first time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

one month in. very happy so far. love the double oven. mostly use the top oven for everyday. bottom seems big enough for my thanksgiving day turkey though. did have a strong smell when first started using ovens. called customer service and they said it is the glue that holds the insillation to the oven walls.. they said it burns off when oven is used and emits that smell and its normal. they said it will go away eventually but that if i wanted to expedite the process, to use the self cleaning mode on both the top and bottom oven... the high temperatures burn it off quickly. i am not a fan of using self cleaning features in ovens, because i read that the extremely high temperatures they use can actually damage your oven.. and that many models come with them anyway because the customers demand it. dont know if thats true but i opted to just wait out the smell and it seems to have gone away already, one month in. and we LOVE the griddle!! we use it all the time. We are a big pancake family. at first i was reluctant to buy because you cant use the 5th burner for somethign else like a pot.. the griddle IS the grate. BUT i am very happy i bought it as opposed to one where the griddle is really a pan that comes off and on... because we use it so much. I guess if you never make pancakes or eggs or whatever and you dont have a huge use for a griddle, i coudl see where you may prefer to have the 5th burner be available for a pot. but so far i am loving my griddle... and the fact that i dont have to store a griddle somewhere in a cabinet. And the grate on the entire range is a really nice edge to edge grate that allows me to fit all my pots on it. and i tried a lot of ovens out (i actually brought my pots to the store!) and this one seemed to have the most space to accomodate my pots. So i dont miss the 5th burner at all. its a rare day i actually have 5 pots on the range anyway! love the look too.. have recieved many compliments. very happy so far.

love the double oven! a few problems otherwise...

I like the range overall. The double oven is awesome. However, we have experienced a few problems already. The griddle has a few peeling spots, which is disappointing. GE was great and sent us a replacement. A couple of the burners have trouble lighting. Frustrating. Wish the center burner had a ring burner and not just the large oval. Also, the top is really deep, which makes it hard to clean. I would probably buy the next model up, the profile. To get some better features. Too late now.

Not what I expected

As a baker I wanted a double oven. The bottom convection is great. However the temperatures are way off even after adjusting. Top oven never keeps temperature. Most times I have to use the bottom oven. Defeats the purpose of a double oven.
