Nice double-oven

I'm quite happy with this range. In fact I bought my whole suite of kitchen appliances because I wanted this range (and the rest to match). I like the size of the double ovens and the fact that you can open each one separately. The lower oven is really low but there's no getting around that, they're all like that. I wish the oven racks would slide more easily. I wish the grey lettering on the dark grey background were easier to read (should be white lettering). The timer on this oven uses minutes and hours whereas on the matching microwave right above it the timer is seconds and minutes so you always have to remember what you're doing. There are two sets of buttons, one for the top and one for the bottom ovens. Many of the buttons are the same, some are unique to each oven (for example only the bottom one has "Convection Bake") - I wish the buttons that were common to both ovens were in the same place on the left and right keypads!!! So if that is my biggest complaint I guess it's pretty good!

Mostly great but needs some tweaking

I bought this range because I wanted a convection oven and I am mostly happy with that feature. I find that both ovens (the top one does not have the convection capability) tend to vary significantly in temperature. The display might read 350 but, if I want to ramp it up to 400, when I input the new temperature and press "start" the display will show 338 or something significantly less than 350. I had a duel-fuel (gas cooktop, electric oven) on a previous range in my last house and that oven held its temperature so perhaps this is the result of a gas oven. I plan to call GE service to have the thermostats checked.
With respect to the oven cleaning features, I have used both the steam option (it's really only for the tiniest messes) and the self-clean. The self-clean works great -- but be sure to wipe out any oil or grease before self-cleaning.
I have no complaints with the cooktop at all. The burners and griddle are terrific. The display is easy to read and program.
All in all, this is a very good range and I recommend it.

We did an expedited kitchen remodel. Granite countertops, stainless appliances, (including the range), new sink and fixture....and the range was the pinnacle of the positivity! Great appliance.
