Nice stove

It looks really nice works well. I wish the top oven was a convection oven and not thrilled with the broiler. It only broils a small section of the middle

Easy to keep clean

We have had our oven for over a year now and have thoroughly enjoyed with its ablity to handle any job we attempt. The convection feature is a first for us, and shows it added benifet in cooking. The center grittle is great also. The only problem that I have with our stove is that the center grittle wasn't cast iron. Its the coating that does wear a

GE Double Oven Gas Range Review

Overall, we are satisfied with the range. The first range we purchased was replaced after 11 months due to an oven failure, and parts could not be obtained, so GE replaced the range. I think this first range had a bad control panel from the very start because the oven temperatures varied widely from the chosen setting. I verified this using a digital oven thermometer. The replacement range is much better, both ovens are within 5 degrees of the temperature one sets on the panel.
I have purchased additional griddles and grates for the cook top so I have lots of options for how we use it. I can turn the entire cook top into a griddle using two aluminum and 1 cast iron griddle, or I can have the entire cook top filled with grates for more versatility. One nit on the griddles, there is a small ridge around the edges, but not high enough to use as a "stop" when trying to slide a spatula under food; it falls off the sides or back. The griddles should be lowered another 1/4" so that food does not slide off.
Other than that, we do love the double ovens, and highly recommend gas over electric for any serious home chef

Inconveniet, Inconsistent

I bought this range in December 2016. Since then we have had it serviced three times in the attempt to get it to heat accurately and consistently, but the results are still disappointing. The stove works just fine. We thought the design of the oven, with a smaller oven on top, would be a money saver, as we are generally just
cooking for two people. But the thermostat can not be trusted. (After several calls to GE we were told that the top oven should be thought of as a reheating or pizza oven, not as something for baking.) The large, bottom (convection) oven heats more consistently, but is incredibly inconvenient. Imagine lifting a turkey or a heavy casserole off the floor. If you have any back issues at all, do not purchase this oven. We will replace this with a better design as soon as we can afford something else.
