Nice microwave but poor installation hardware. One of the hanging bolts stripped out but the oven is still operable. Exhaust fan is efficient and not very noisy at the lower settings. The interior is rather dark, could use a brighter interior light. The oven cavity is very large and easy to clean. Many of the functions are mysterious until one downloads the manual, which is NOT included, not even a getting started version. The stainless steel finish looks fine, but shows every fingerprint. Overall, this a good microwave with nice styling, but beware the installation hardware.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A great microwave. Heats everything really well, has intuitive features and functions, and looks great. Of note, the sensor heating functions work very well! It's nice to be able to pop something in, hit one button, and have the microwave heat it nicely and evenly without having to think about time and power level.

I am mostly pleased with it, just surprised and perplexed that only the time digits on the front panel are lighted, not the Sensor Cooking or Express Cooking options. Requires the whole room to be lighted to select.

Excellent Option for Over-the-Range Microwave

We upgraded from a much smaller GE counter-top microwave to this one. We bought the GE Profile 30" Induction Range (PHS930SLSS), and since we have limited countertop space, we wanted an over-the-range microwave to go with the range. The exhaust van for this microwave is 400CFM which is one of the highest you can get in an over-the-range microwave (we exhaust to the outside). It was one of the reasons we chose this model.
We have been using this microwave for about three weeks now, and it has been such an improvement over our previous one. The size is perfect. We no longer need to worry about dishes not fitting. It heats up food very quickly and evenly. The Chef Connect feature is great. The Chef Connect means no more changing two separate clocks, and whenever we turn the range burners on, the microwave range lights and hood turn on which is a great convenience. They also automatically turn off 10 minutes after the range burners are turned off.
The door is larger than most over-the-range microwaves. However, I was aware of that based on the design and reading reviews. I went to the store to compare to other microwaves to see if it would be a concern for us. We prefer this design even though it means the door swing is larger, because it is a sleeker look and we preferred not having a door handle on the microwave. We also like the controls being on the bottom versus on the side of the microwave.
The only improvement we would suggest is for GE to install LED lights instead of the incandescent bulbs for the range lights. The lights were very hot when on, and we expected they would not last long based on reviews. We immediately switched to LED lights to save energy and avoid the heat generated from the factory installed lights. However, this did not impact our review of the product, since we were able to replace the bulbs ourselves.
Overall, we highly recommend this microwave.
