Happy with GE

I like the internal size of the microwave. The unit comes a bit far over the stove, so steam builds up on the front of microwave. I have always chosen GE microwaves, so when my old one died, I looked to GE for a replacement. The feature I miss from my old one is the “soften” feature. Otherwise, I happy happy with my new model.

Like the good exhaust fan and overall size

The only thing I don't like is that the buttons do not light up like the range we bough with it. Cannot see them at night or very well when the lights are off or late in the day.

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

Love my new microwave! When my other GE microwave’s handle broke off after less than 2 years, I purposely shopped for one where the handle was not screwed into the plastic or glass on the door. This one’s handle is built into the side of the microwave, so no chance for it to break off. This model microwave is also more powerful and cooks faster. I’m also enjoying the low/high light feature over my cooktop. So far from what I can tell, this one should serve me well for years to come.

Poor construction!

The display digital letters are truncated, the door is fitted so that when you push your selected option it gives and the door latches themselves are a plastic that appears likely to have to be replaced on a regular basis. Time will tell!

After 2 years of use, broken and poor quality

It's been exactly 2 years since we bought this microwave oven. The poor quality is showing ... Yesterday when I opened the door, the filter cover opened up and it couldn't be latched again in place. We don't even have a filter because the oven has an outside vent. When I took a look saw a little piece came off. Now I'm holding the cover with Scotch tape. This should not happen!!! Horrible quality. Don't recommend and won't buy GE products again (this is not the only GE kitchen appliance I got 3 years ago, and having issues withe the other too).

Cheap build and doesn't meet the advertised specs

I love GE appliances because the use to be good quality and reliable products. But I got truly disappointed with this one after I gotten and it not because any perform ace issue because is working. My disappointment is about the one that I received looks alike but its not the same, cheap poor build, smaller than the one advertised, doesn't has the filter fit, says 1000 watts instead 1050 watts, the price is to high for the quality of this. I had the same model and that one meet all specs as the advertising but after 2 years stopped working, so I decided to buy the same because I like it and I love smart technology, and after that time the microwave should be even better. I'm still waiting for a response for GE to ABT Electronics about this.
