My 13yr old GE over the range microwave quit10 days ago. I did not hesitate to replace it with today's equivalent. The lower instrument panel is a feature I appreciate. No more standing on tip toes to enter data. The appearance is different and the door opening is different but it looks up to date and fits right in with the other stainless steel appliances I have.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This microwave has been broke down more than its been used! Bought 5 years ago and has had multiple door sensors put in and is down again. Last repair lasted 1 wk!

Buyer beware! Keypad is difficult to use.

The keypad is NOT touch sensitive and you have to press REALLY HARD to get the number/command to register. See my online video at Abt and elsewhere where I demonstrate the difficulty. Especially disconcerting since I have arthritis and I specifically asked about this feature. Very disappointed in GE, so much so that I won’t buy any more GE products in the future.
