I’ve enjoyed my new GE Profile microwave very much.
Pros:
1. The look of the appliance is attractive.
2. Instead of a handle on the front of the door the handle is on the right side. This is nice because where you grasps is not above the stove burner so it doesn’t get hot.
3. Turn table rotates every 10 seconds so whenever you place something towards the front it almost always ends at the front. Don’t have to reach to back to retrieve something this way.
4. The control buttons are intuitive and I was able to quickly understand and use.
5. Having a flat panel face is easy to clean.
6. The clock/display is clear and bright.
Cons:
1. Buttons are too stiff. Have be careful to not over press to get function.
2. The GE logo on the front/top of door not cleanly installed. There is adhesive remit around the logo.
3. Grease filters on bottom (above stove) are not very secure. Really think this should be of better quality.
All in all, I like this microwave/hood and would recommend it to others. I do think there is room for improvement.

Style vs Ease of use

Our microwave needs include pushing the +30 button and not much else. With that in mind this unit gets the job done. We are used to a traditional door and control panel setup, so we had to get used to this full width door. It still feels awkward navigating around the big door and only after shutting it, being able to address what button to push. Not unhappy, just still learning.

microwave works good. I would say the front door is a bit cheesy. it could be more sturdy for sure. and the buttons seem like they may wear out quickly.

I like that this oven heats up much faster than the one I replaced. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the door doesn't have a handle, instead it has a recessed area on the door and would be much easier to open if it had a protruding handle. It was an easy self installation since it was the same size and the one I replaced.
