Vent fan from GE jet engine division

Sadly, this well designed and feature rich microwave review is dwarfed by a single flaw. The vent fan will automatically start when the microwave or the range below runs for a short time. The fan CANNOT BE STOPPED and can run for 30 minutes. If your microwave is located within earshot of your dining area, conversation is almost impossible.

This model does include an automatic fan feature that turns the fan on when too much heat is sensed from the cooktop below, and it is normal for it to run for 30 minutes or more after the cooktop and microwave controls have been turned off. Electrical Issues

I'm really disappointed with this purchase. For the price I paid for this microwave, it only lasted 6 years. At first I thought it was the breaker needed to be replaced. Come to find out the breaker was fine and my microwave completely blew. So disappointing in the quality of product.

Disappointing.

Installed March 2020, always has a little hitch when opening and closing the door. Now Aug 2023 unit keeps tripping the breaker.

1 use and it's broke

My Microwave was finally delivered, this microwave that my wife just had to have because of the way that it looked and the features of having no handle and the buttons on the bottom of the door. Installation went fairly well, though the holes on the template were just a bit off. I used the reheat button to heat up my soup, it was fabulous... the next bowl of soup came out luke warm and then nothing worked. The light comes on, in the the inside, but the buttons and the display quit working.... I called the number on the box for support which was literally still sitting in my kitchen... at this point I am so upset and disappointed with this product. It wouldn't be so bad if I could just take it back and exchange it, but it took over a month to get the first one.
On a brighter note, it does look really nice....

Vent fan is too loud even on the lowest sitting. Door is too wide without handle. Can't see in because it is too dark. Didn't come with manual. Over priced. Runs too loud, closes too loud. Buttons are too hard to push. We hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not totally satisfied with anything about this model. The controls do not light up so they are impossible to read.Vent fan is extremely noisy. Door is hard to open.

Some issues

While the microwave is fine and a good replacement for our old GE Profile, there are a couple of issues. With the black interior, it is more difficult to see the item while cooking. Also, the controls should be back-lit or white. Difficult to see unless lights in room are bright.
