We had a ha dle microwave before and because my wife is short she end up breaking the handle because she had to pull on the bottom of it. Now that this microwave has a built in handle in the door itake it easier for her to open

Very stylish

I love the look and style of this microwave. The buttons have to be pressed a little hard for them to accept the input. The size of the interior is a little on the small side, and it is a little louder than I anticipated, but so far, it works fine with no issues, but it brand new.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Slightly Disappointed

Our previous GE microwave over the range hood combo started acting up (7 years old). It would have cost almost as much or more to fix than a new unit. We really liked the prior one, however the newer model that was similar to our old one did not receive very good reviews. So, we decided to try this model because it seemed a little "slicker" looking. If I had to do it over again, I probably would have gone with a different brand/model. The PVM9005SJ8SS makes some clicking noises after something has finished heating. The sound is faint, but noticeable. We have to push pretty firmly/hard on the buttons to get them to respond. The unit does not run as smoothly as the old unit while operating - not sure how to describe it - it just seems like it is clunking along. The digital display is a different color and font than the older unit - not the bold green - so it does not match the GE Oven display that we have which is also the bold green. As stated, if it weren't for the fact that we needed a replacement unit pretty quickly and due to all this COVID supply chain related ?>?% inventory was either OUT OF STOCK or NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR AREA, I would have gone with another unit and probably another manufacturer. Sorry GE, but this one is a flop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
