Great upgrade

Part of full kitchen remodel. Replacing 13 yo GE Profile that we gifted to friends as still performing superbly. The new cabinet mount with vent is awesome. Highly recommend.

Not enough features for the money

Our new GE Profile Over the Range does not have as many features as our last one which was the same brand. No Soften or Melt. Also, it gives me a message “Power Level cannot be changed at this time” when I push the Power Level Button. For it to change, I have to first put the time in that I want to cook the item. That is not what the manual says. Manual says I can do it either way. I do not need the Chef Connect Button as I do not have a new range. I wish that was pointed out at the time I bought it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great microwave fir the price

We were looking for a reliable microwave as a replacement. We had researched microwaves and the dealer recommended this product. So far so good. We really like the control panel on the bottom as it is easily reachable. All the features fit our needs plus we thought the price was reasonable. We bought at a local dealer who price was comparable to the big box stores.

We replaced our GE microwave with the new model. It has a sleeker appearance. The interior is gray in color and harder to view the contents. The window has a dark perimeter with a smaller viewing space. The oven functions well; it is difficult to see the interior.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It failed on me on first year but warranty covered it and I didn't have to pay anything and recently touched 4th year and its dead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We found the programming that allows our microwave to communicate with our GE profile kitchen range was easy accomplish. The feature that turns off the microwave fan and light five minutes after we turn off the stove is our favorite.
