Really disappointed

4.5 years old and it’s dead. This thing started tripping the circuit breaker a few months ago. Tonite, it gave a last gasp
I bought my washing machine in 1984 and it still works. It’s a kenmore, made by whirlpool. I’ll never buy another GE product
I inherited my mother’s GE stock that she inherited from her
father. It’s been in the family for almost 100 years. It might be time to sell, if this is the kind of product they produce.
It’s shameful that this company cannot produce a product that lasts

DON'T PURCHASE THIS MICROWAVE!

It should've been recalled, along with the GE Profile Microwave/Oven combo. The people who are giving it positive reviews are doing so prematurely. It has “known” electrical issues. The micro-switches will begin failing after a year or two, resulting in a blown fuse or fuses. I had mine repaired by a professional three times within an 18-month period and here I am again with an inoperable microwave. The worst purchase I've ever made.

Not LED over the range light!

One of the reasons we bought this model is that the product info states that the cooktop lighting is LED. This is not true. I turned it on and noticed that it was not particularly bright. Then I held my hand close to the cover plate and noticed it was quite hot. I removed the cover plate to visually inspect the bulb, and sure enough, it is a halogen. The other problem is that the screw that holds the plate in place goes into a piece of sheet metal that is a nano thickness, between 1/32" and 1/16" at best. The screw is permanently loose because the sheet metal is so thin that it can't have more than one or two threads. Also, replacing the bulb is difficult for the average person due to the very short screw that holds the plate in (the plate cover has a lot of free play, making it difficult to mate the screw up with the hole) and the nature of halogen bulbs with the 2 prongs. That's why we wanted an LED bulb--because they last a long time. GE, you need to change the info about the cooktop lighting! Or how about producing an LED bulb that will fit in this spot? I'm selecting one star based on this problematic piece of bad information. It was just installed a couple of hours ago so I have not used it for cooking yet. I am trusting that this microwave will work as well as our last Profile that lasted 20 years.

Broke in less than three years

Great looking and worked well for the first two years. About two years in it started tripping the breaker and now won't run at all without tripping it. Seems like a common issue. Would avoid this set.
