Nice microwave

This is our second microwave. Bought a full set of appliances a few years ago and microwave does. Disappointing that it did not make it very long. Bought a new one to keep the set. New microwave has white lights on front. Stove has green lights. They used to match, now they don’t. Overall nice microwave looks good but come on GE this is not rocket science and you sell profile appliances as higher tier and you can’t keep the colors consistent?

The button press seems to be the weak point here. They are difficult to press and more presses are needed for simple tasks like cook on high for 60 seconds. User interface looks very nice but could use more professional ergonomics evaluation. I retired from 40 years of embeddrd systems development. I am critical of these things.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Such a nice, beautiful, quite micro. Works great and is very quiet. Has every feature anyone could ever want. So glad I purchased this model. The Profile Series is just an amazing group of appliances.

Change in size from previous model

While too early to provide feedback on this new model I want to mention I purposely chose this GE Profile 2.1 Cubic Feet Microwave to replace my previous one which failed in less then 4 years ( cooking fan would not turn off when not in use) as I assumed ( incorrectly) that the new model would use the same brackets and support screws would be in the
same position. None of those are the same. Width is identical but height is slightly less as is the depth and the support screw holes are in a different place; GE why would you do that?
