Microwave works great! No issues with heating or defrosting food. Light over stove top is good. Vent fan clears away very easily. Highly recommend.

DOOR TOO BIG

The door is so big you have to step back to open it and then forward to put the food in. It can only be opened with the right hand. The buttons are hard to push and the fan one requires cycling through all settings to get to OFF. It also sticks out 2" beyond the cabinets.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not excited, considering the cost

Pros: Aesthetically appealing, somewhat functional. Cons: Not much I’m excited about. Doesn’t compare to the Kenmore Elite microwave we had previously. Burns popcorn every single day, generates an error code and tone, as if the popcorn isn’t cooked. Maybe it has a bad sensor, as we are using the “popcorn” feature. The interior size is small compared to the overall size of the microwave. Our previous model had 3 cooking options, microwave, convection, combination; 6 sensor cook options, 4 sensor reheat options, 5 auto defrost options, 4 soften options, 4 melt options, and 4 auto combination options. This model has sensor cooking features: auto cook, reheat, defrost, popcorn, potato, steam, and express cook options. Not nearly as many options, compared to our previous model. I wouldn’t choose this microwave again. I had hoped it would perform as well as our previous model, disappointing for the cost. I tolerate it because we purchased the entire Profile ensemble and I wanted everything to match.

We want you to be happy with your purchase. Due to variability in the way popcorn will cook, even within the same brand, it may be necessary to reduce the cooking time to prevent burning. Other reasons that popcorn may not cook properly: ~ Using low fat popcorn instead of regular. ~ Old popcorn (not enough moisture to pop). ~ Using a small bag size. ~ Putting the bag upside down in the microwave. bought to replace older ge micro way. the one i wanted wasn't in stock . this one was one sale .
don't like the contols on door , this makes the door to large and reduces viewing window size .
short people like to see food cook too First Morning wife scraped he cheek on door corner. she was use to
smaller door on older model with controls on front panel .. filed corner remove sharpness . she's happy
I just hope the controls hold up on the door

I expected better from GE

Product functions ok but is expensive for its relatively limited feature set. Full width door looks sleek but 30” wide door is awkward and inconvenient. What’s worse is that lower part of window is opaque and significantly limits view of items In the oven. This is an oven designed to be installed above a range/cooktop. Ridiculous to block the view into the oven.
