Unhappy with this microwave

I debated on getting this model since it matches the g e range. I was going to buy A kenmore or another g e microwave that has a regular handle and small door. I have multiple issues with this micro. First, It arrived damaged with multiple scrathes on the front of the door panel. Also there were multiple small dents in the stainless panel too. Under the touchpad it also bulged out a little and looked odd. We called sears, they brought a new one a week later and took the damaged micro. After using this for a month or so, I realized that having the sleek look without the handle is a major minus. The door is too big and bulky in my small kitchen. The keypads are impossible to read the words and options without my reading glasses. The micro is way bigger then I would ever need. After cooking a baked potato on the baked potato setting, I literally scorched the inside of my throat. When I put in a bag of frozen steam rice, the bag exploded on two occasions and food everywhere to be cleaned inside the entire oven. Defrosting rolls do not defrost uniformly. The exhaust fan is powerful but loud on the last two settings. Needless to say. I am sorry I bought this microwave.i really don't like the huge door or the key pad buttons that you cannot see because the words aren't bold or bright. Does not cook frozen bread well on defrost setting and takes too long. Anything on high setting such as baked potato or rice bags, get way too hot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

AWESOME LOOK!

I have owned this microwave about a month now and love the display at the bottom of the unit instead of on the side. Thus far performing very well. The light below that shines on the stove top is great. Very bright and useful.

Takes guesswork out

I like the ease of operation. It calculates defrost by weight and doesn't defrost it too much. The reheat feature is excellent. Z

Good microwave, but the recirculating exhaust fan is very poor. It does not pull smoke or steam out.

Love this microwave. Installed it and started using immediately. It heats evenly and is really an all around amazing product. I am so happy with my GE Profile Series.
