Great Microwave with one concern

I just recently purchased a new GE Profile over the oven microwave oven. Its features are many and easy to use, it’s stylish which goes well in any kitchen. My only concern is the halogen surface bulb which generates lots of heat especially if left on for an extended amount of time which can cause burn injuries. I will be down grading to an LED surface light bulb to remedy my concern. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this microwave oven to anyone looking for an appliance with all the features, capacity, etc etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great microwave

Excellent microwave, links to our oven. Time on oven and microwave are in sync, turns on light and exhaust fan when you turn on burners. My only con is the door is wider, but hitting yourself in the head once or twice solves the problem

Not for short people

The microwave works fine but it is much smaller than previous ones for over the stove. I’m 5’6” and it is hard for me especially with something easily spilt if you are short I would not recommend it.

Great for our needs

We love this microwave! It work for our home. My husband is in a wheelchair and he can open the door without pulling on it and breaking the handle.

Overpriced and far from great

For a mid-range product, this lacks basic functions like a melt button. Build quality is average, very plastic-ee. Front door feels like it could easily break with minimal force and the stainless steel is very low quality, it stains very easily and dents with the smallest hit. This will be the last time I buy a GE appliance, there are way better products from other brands at a cheaper price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor performance

Does not work as well as the microwave we replaced. Takes twice as long to cook anything as previous less expensive microwave. Disappointed in this being a profile series.

We recommend checking to ensure that there are no air obstructions around the microwave case. This prevents airflow and can cause performance issues.
You also will want to check that the power level is set to the appropriate level for the item that is being cooked. Also, make sure that the cookware is microwave approved.
