Great features

My new GE microwave is good 4stars, didn't give 5stars due to the opening in the door not fully clear, it's blacked out on the sides and bottom. This also makes it to high to see what's cooking since it's over the range.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ok but could be better

Buttons are difficult to push, the buttons should be backlite, the door is very wide when opening.

Great Looking Microwave

All of the appliances in my kitchen are GE Profile and were purchased in 2007 when we purchased our home. The microwave finally bit the dust, so we searched online for something that would match well with the other black appliances. This microwave looks beautiful. I've only used it week but so far am happy with the functionality. The fact that it doesn't show fingerprints like the last one is a definite plus as well. ☺

We're also big fans of the fingerprint resistant black stainless, it truly is a beautiful finish and super easy to keep clean. Another amazing feature this model has is the four-speed vent fan, which removes any smoke and steam that occurs when cooking a meal.

TOUCH BUTTONS

THE MICROWAVE FUNCTIONS WELL BUT THE TOUCH BUTTONS ARE FAR FROM "TOUCH". THEY REQUIRE VERY MUCH PRESSURE AND THAT DEGRADES THE OVERALL RATING.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the look of the front of this microwave, It looks nice. I can't say it is very powerful as it takes longer to cook anything, longer than my last GE, but that had convection cooking on it etc, which I never used. This is good product over all.

Crap!

4 years in and it trip the breaker hard. Dishwasher is not much better as is the fridge. Which goes through lights every few weeks. Done with GE products. Absolutely junk now a days.

Overall, we are very happy with our new microwave. It has a great range of options for cooking and coordinates well with our new range. It does make quite a bit of noise when it starts up - a bit rattle -y.
