Bad Design

Wires go thru the door & after time break & no parts according to repair man. Home Depo protection plan reimbursed me so I bought a different Micro wave where the wires do NOT go thru door.

I purchased this microwave installed it 7 days later it stopped working. The store replaced it, 2 weeks with the new one so far it’s still working.

Pretty but disappointing

The model is very modern and large however when I went through the "reheat" process for pizza, the unit overcooked the pizza beyond repair. I assumed the model with the smart features would be able to act better. Additionally, I was very disappointed with the limited wireless technology. I was under the impression the model included some form of Wi-Fi connectivity but it appears it is only able to link to the compatible stove model with the microwave.

So much wrong with this model

First, it seems to have an electrical problem. It trips the breaker when I open the door. Only had it two years! Second, the touch scree panel is designed with grey font that is small and impossible to see. I had to add stickers to be able to know the location of the commonly used buttons (30 seconds; fan, light over stove, popcorn)

We're awfully sorry to hear that your microwave is tripping your circuit breaker and the controls are hard to see. We certainly understand how those can be frustrating. If the microwave trips the house fuse or breaker:
Be certain the microwave is on its own dedicated circuit. Reset the breaker or replace the household fuse and try the microwave one more time. If the breaker trips off again, unplug the microwave and contact service.

Doesn't work

Nice looking, but that is all its good for. Stopped heating after 3 months of light use - mostly just reheat food. Exhaust fan is pretty much useless. It doesn't work either. The clock and timer work, and the light comes on and turntable turns. Otherwise, not much value here.

A Mind of its own

We love our new GE microwave. It has a clean look, a lot of room inside, and all the necessary features. However, it has a mind of its own. We can be in another room and not near the microwave and all of a sudden, the fan will go on by itself. It’s not easy to turn off. One has to keep pressing the cancel button multiple times. We will have to report this to customer service.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Trips breaker and dies

Lasts less then 3 years. Has alot of electrical problems. Trips house breaker, on dedicated 20 amp circuit. Eventually just died. Will not buy G.E. ever again.

Love the features of this product. First one I had lasted 2 years. I thought maybe it was just a lemon. Stubborn as I am, I purchased the same model and this one last exactly 2 years. So people expect it to last only 2 years.
