Does not clean very well and leaves spots

I purchased and installed this dishwasher about a month ago.. At this point, I wish I had stayed with my previous brand. This unit does not clean the dishes and leaves spots on the glassware even with spot treatment. It is quiet and nice looking but I bought it to clean dishes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good dishwasher, nice features, great price

Bought this 3 months ago to replace a very old, very broken dishwasher. Actually had not been able to use the old dishwasher for more than 5 years, so this was an enormous upgrade!
On my limited budget I thought I'd end up with the cheapest dishwasher with the least amount of features. Was very pleasantly surprised to find this one which had nicer fit and finish, and several items on my wish list (heated dry, delayed cycle, wine glass holder, removable silverware caddy, adjustable height top rack).
Does a consistently good job of cleaning our two-person household of dishes. Mostly use the light wash setting with the heated dry. Very quiet.
The basket designed to hold larger utensils isn't very functional for us - the slots on the top are too small for our handles on the spatula, big spoons, etc. With the top on, the tools just flop around in the basket so I load them in the top rack instead. The bottom rack is easier for me to load than the top - I still have trouble figuring out how to get my bowls and glass storage ware to fit efficiently in the top.
Occasionally a lump of dishwasher pac with remain in the dispenser. I think this has to do with how I've loaded the bottom rack; will keep an eye on it for the future.
Dishwasher plays a little song when it is finished which is a little goofy but I like it.

Our old reliable,but noisy GE finally broke down after 17 years! So, we bought a new GE dishwasher because it’s made in the USA with good quality and price, quieter, easy to use, lots of capacity for dishes, cups and utensils (2 baskets). Just drop in a detergent pod and you’e good to go. Our family loves it!

I bought this after calling GE because I needed a dishwasher with less height due to installation of ceramic tile floor. Had to cut old GE dishwasher out when it broke and raise the floor under the counter (where old dishwasher sat) to be level with ceramic tile. It was close but this fit perfectly in height. Only two disappointments during installation. The new drain hose seems cheap and did not like connecting the 2 hoses together (due to possible future leak). The electrical box was difficult to access and instructions were not clear. I hardwired the connection. More clearance around the electrical box would improve ease of installation. Otherwise the product works great and my wife loves it!

dishes not clean

this dishwasher does not get my dishes clean, I wish I kept my old one. I cleaned the filters and it still the dishes are not clean.
