It's a dishwasher....

I bought this dishwasher a couple months ago, I was hard pressed to find one that matched my other appliances, but was happy that I was able to find a GE one because it's name I know - however it has turned out to be the worse dishwasher I ever owned (& I've owned a few). The dishes are more wet when the cycle is over that before I put them in the machine - this is with the Heated Dry cycle activated. Now we notice that after a day or so the inside reeks ~ old stale water smell, we have never had this problem with a dishwasher. The bottom rack is constantly getting stuck causing dished to shift, even breaking/cracking some. The only things I can say is that my dishes are clean when it is done - but the fact that we have to hand-dry each one kind of defeats the point of a dishwasher for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My dishwasher is quiet and one hardly knows it is running. It also does the job of cleaning better than hand washing.

Easy installation, but I don't understand why switching to a garden hose water inlet was necessary.

So Very Disappointed

The dish washer looks nice but that's where it ends. I can only fit 3/4 of what my former one did. The bottom stacking tray has a weird shape to the prongs that hold the dishes. That entire row won't hold cereal bowls because they bend outwards which makes the bowls fall over. The last slot is double spaced so no dish sits safely in it once the wash starts.
The worst thing is that the wash cycle takes literally TWO HOURS. I can't wait to replace this machine. I'm very sorry I chose it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just bought it and already putting it to use. So far so good, I know I will enjoy it. I had a ge dishwasher before and I never had any problems with it. It lasted 20 years with no problems , so I hope this one does the same.
