Decent dishwasher except for...

We got this dishwasher as an "upgrade" when the brand new one that came with our new house had a crack in the tub, and leaked.
3 years later and the entire bottom rack is rusted out. I've never had this happen in 40 years of adulthood. Very poor quality.

great dishwasher

We purchased this dishwasher to replace an old GE profile dishwasher, which we have had for over 15 years this was my first dishwasher i have owned. I wanted one that was equal to or the same. This one is not as nice, but its nice and works great. It didn't come with much installation ,we keep the old installation from the old GE profile. Its very quite and my dishes are clean and dry. great dishwasher and great price.

bought a floor model from loews. new in the box. installed in my upstate vacation home. turned on water and started unit. no water going into unit. can hear valve of unit clicking but not releasing water.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The dishes come out very clean.

I think that the dishwasher is a good value for the money. I wish the the silverware holder were not on the door but attached to the side of the lower rack. There is plenty of space for glasses on the top rack.

Not what I expect from GE - Rusted and awful

After only 1 year into owning this dishwasher, we started noticing the bottom rack rusting in multiple spots and the tongs were bending/rusting as well. Now, 2.5 years after it was purchased, several of the tongs have rusted completely off and the tongs that are still intact are also rusting, which is causing our pans/dishes to get rust stains on them. I need to buy a new rack, since this one is no longer functioning, but can't seem to find one on the website, nor am I confident it will not have the exact same issues. I am complete frustrated and disappointed with this product.
