Piece of junk

The absolute worst dishwasher I’ve ever used. Plastic piece of garbage. Barely gets dishes clean. Should be scrapped and remade.

Not happy

Purchased in March,2016. Just looking and realize how many others have had the rusted rack with stems breaking off. This happened to ours a few years ago. Now I am having the SECOND TIME with the panel just dying. There are no lights, no activity. Guess I will be buying a new dishwasher today! Not quite 7 years old, and 2nd control panel to need reolacing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Racks need improvement

The racks rust underneath the vinyl coating; then coating breaks open and it continues to rust, the posts break off... any where there is contact to dish; rust stains are made on dish.

Disappointed

This is our third GE appliance which failed within 6 years. This dishwasher was good while it lasted but will not be replacing it with another GE product anytime soon. Door latch inoperable and machine will not drain. Repairs will cost half the cost of the machine. Short life and a mediocre product. GE needs to work on a quality product that’s is not disposable.

Great if you like repairs. Not!!

Works good when it works. 2 new motors, 1 controller, 1 door latch, and 1 keypad later. I hope this is the last repair. It is 4 years old and has broken 5 times and countless number of resets when it locks up.

GE dishwashers: failure in design and manufacture
on May 5, 2024

Had this GE dishwasher since 2018. It was a cheap model installed by the builder. Product was discontinued by 2019. I am a light user, running the DW once every two weeks. Still, the electronics was not designed or built to withstand current conditions in US energy infrastructure, which is generally ok but also erratic enough that the sensitive components fry/die. I admire the internet for troubleshooting and offering various fixes bec/ my GE DW died a few times and resetting the circuit breakers and such got it working but I do not want to replace the control board once, twice or 5 times. It's pointless. Everything I read abt GE dishwashers leads me to think GE might as well get out of making DW.
