I had used dishwasher installed, but it was the same model. The control panel went out on me, so I bought the same model due to its quite operation. Taking the previous unit out and the new one in was a breeze.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hook-up was a breeze. The initial clean wash was quick and I have already loaded my 3 load today. They are coming out sparkling clean.

so far my experience is, seems that it takes forever for a load of dishes to wash. Not used to this, been using a dishwasher as an marries adult for 28 years and have never had one that took so long. Also not liking that when cycle is done there is still condensation and water on the inside of the door that never seems to go away unless you leave the door open. Who wants to leave the door open to your dishwasher. when door is fully opened it is very low to the ground.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Run time too long, even on light. Heated dry doesn't dry completely. Water remains in bottom of machine. Upper rack vinyl coating missing in spots & frame is rusting. May just need adjustment but as of now, VERY disappointing for a GE product.

need to add more instructions on how to add rinse, and where the other glass holder and silverware holder should go..
