I read reviews before I bought this dishwasher. Everyone said how quiet it was. It is one of the two main reason I purchased this one. I trusted GE, and this model was rated at 54 decibels. Mine is nowhere near that. I compared my GE dishwasher with a friends using an online app, and the levels are not even close. (Same model - one year older) It was suggested that I should have purchased a more expensive model if I expected it to be quiet. 54 decibels is supposed to be quiet. No more GE products for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It replaced my 13yr old dishwasher. It cleans great and I love the lock option. Definitely happy with this purchase.

Drain hose provided was too short to reach my sink drain so i had purchase a long one. Dishwasher install location is typical, not right night to the sink, but immediately around the corner. This unit also did not come with an insulation blanket for around the dishwasher which was disappointing.
I would recommend this to a friend!
