I did not have a chance to try my new dishwasher, however, because it is a GE I am sure it will work great and will be happy with it. My rating is based on your reputation - if I assumed wrong, as I use my new dishwasher, I let you know.

We have purchased 3 of these units. This one being the third. We installed one in our house we sold and it lasted for 3 years and is still going. The second, we got for my mom and it is going strong after a year. Finally, we got the 3rd one for our new house. It isn't as fancy as some others, but it washes dishes really well. I will say that with each iteration this dishwasher has gotten better. It is a great price and it lasts.

Cleans dishes, etc. well but the entire cycle is very slow. Generally it seems to take about 2 hours for a comple, normal cycle.

I really luv this dishwasher! I like the size, I am able to load it with everything we use in a day. I like that the utensils rack can be moved to the door or hang from the bottom rack. There is also a secon utensils rack on the side. The finished cycle tune is pretty cute also.

It is good value for the price but not an improvement over my 31 year old GE that it replaced. The racks are awkwardly designed where large plates don't fit and small plates fall out. The top rack has so many bumps it's hard to find a flat surface to place anything. There is no rinse option.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When comparing this to other items made by different brands it was by far the highest quality! There is hardly any sound and the degree of cleanliness is amazing!
