The Worse

This is by far the worse dishwasher I have every had. It does not dry, it does not clean well and because dishes are left wet, my silverware rusts.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It works, but bad installation

I really wanted to give this a three star review, but I don't think the machine itself warrants such a low review. The worst part of the machine is flexible tubing that it comes equipped with. When fitting the tubing attached to the dishwasher to the tubing that connects to the drain, it got kinked so severely that it leaked very badly. I had to cut the bad section of tubing and use two hose clamps to stop the leaking. All said and done stopping the leak took two hours.
Other than that, the machine seems to be pretty good. It's quiet. Quieter than I expected and seems to clean the dishes like a dishwasher should.
It's not a stupendously attractive appliance, but it looks good enough for my kitchen. The price was right and it does what I need it to do.

The only thing I would say I didn't like is that you need a 90 that's not included to hook up the water line. I think that they should include this so you don't have to make another trip the the store.

Just bought this dishwasher, but I'm already very happy! And it was a definite upgrade from the whirlpool we had previously, which only lasted 15 months before it was shot!

cleaned dishes great for 3 wks - then quit working

I was very happy with how clean my dishes were, however, the dishwasher quit working in less than one month. I had only used it 4-5 times since we only turn on the dishwasher a couple of times a week. I have a repair person coming in 4 days. I will be anxious to hear why this quit working. I cannot even get the lights to come on. I did get a phone call after I scheduled the repair appt from GE and she asked what was wrong with the dishwahser. I told her it would not start and she asked me if I checked the breaker. That was the first thing I checked and the breakers are fine. We also checked the electrical connectionand it appears to be fine. Guess we will find out in 4 days................
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
