I bought the 4 to upgrade from the 2. Love this upgrade. I moved the 2 to my bedroom now I can enjoy my streaming from both rooms.

Love Sling TV, simple to operate and has TONS of apps/channels, CUT THE CORD!!! 5 star product all th way, I bought the apple tv and exchanged it for roku, the roku stick is also great!!

Just purchased. 4 days ago. Weird! When TV is off, the Roku turned on by itself and I heard the Roku standart starting music. Perhaps a mulfunction with on power switch. But there is no on/off switch!!! Curretly still in evaluation process. Can"t put my finger down yet.

It has a hard time picking up wifi signal. menu options suck. to hard to use. not enough options on the remote.

The R4 is better than I imagined from reading reviews. Download speed is amazingly quick. And the picture quality on my Samsung 1080p HD TV is as good or better than anything I've seen on it. I enjoy the user interface when looking at offerings on NetFlix. It is much faster and easier to find items than using Smart device features. The voice search is amazing. I just wish it worked inside YouTube or other channels. My R4 is quiet and I have it located where size doesn't matter. It might be more cumbersome for traveling. But I suppose I could choose to take my Apple TV for that. I also like the earphone/headphone option on the remote. I have noticed a little static if I start to get too far from the base unit. I recommend the R4 if you are trying to decide on buying one. Roku must think that using the remote is intuitive. That's correct for the most part. But there are no instructions for it and YouTube and browser searches turned up very little.

Ease of use and extended features.

Showtime and Time Warner had a bidding war about a year ago. Both claimed they had the consumer's interest in mind. In reality both wanted the best deal for themselves which maximized their profits. No problem - that is capitalism. My decision cut back on the service and find another alternative where I had more say. ROKU was the answer and I am very happy. Time Warner and Showtime did not get my viewership.
