So far haven't had any problems and am not experiencing the loud fan I've seen in other reviews. It loads content alot faster compared to Roku stick was using. The only thing is now want to get a 4K TV

I was wondering if it should purchase the Roku 4 or not because of all of the complaints about loud fan noise. I took a gamble on buying it and when I recived it and plugged it in it and it also did the same problem for me. I used common sense and flipped the Roku 4 over so the vents are facing up and immediately I have had no fan noise ever since. I would like to note it is a great product overall it is exactly what I needed for my new 4K tv. Thanks roku for another great product!!! =]

Excellent picture quality

I had the old original player for years and it's a great product but Roku 4 is like when you used to have a flip phone and then you get a smart phone. Streaming and picture quality are outstanding on Roku 4.

Ease of operation!

Received as a gift. At first I was surprised to see there were no written instructions just pictures, however, it was easy to go through the onscreen procedures, even for me. Very impressive.

Great but has a couple bugs

I bought this a month ago still tweaking it.
I have read reviews that there is a fan noise I'm experience not noticeable fan noise.
I'm very satisfied with this Roku4. the only issues I have are two issues, I'm having one it seems like a magenta push. The other issue is UHD 10bit when I play these I get a HDCP2.2 disabled pop up I hit ok it says it will play HDX, but I doesn't play in HDX it plays in UHD 4K (3840X2160) 23hz YCBCr 422 24bit at least that's what my receiver is displaying

Fetching my photos and videos from my home server

Will not display my Sony 4K 30 fps videocam generated videos. My TV is brand new Sony 4K which supports DHCP 2.2 standard as does my AVR. Cables are HDMI 2.0.
Older 1080p videos show nicely. It also does very well with photos (very fast) including able to see Canon raw images albeit in 4:3 size.
Streaming choices very good and very fast. Lots of 4K content.
Big pain as unit shuts itself off after idle and have to unplug it to make come back on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features and great customer service!

We just bought our second Roku. It arrived quickly but did not work properly. Roku immediately and without question sent a new one overnight, with a postage-paid return box for the non-working one. The new worked worked beautifully and we are very happy with the quality and the range of features/channels on it.
