I bought Roku 4 to up grade from the 3 and wished I never spent the extra money ,not worth buying

I bought this to stream my Slingshot and I can not download the sling shot app, so I can not use it for what I intended. but it is ok for other channels

Great, with one glaring flaw.

Love it. Love the options and ease of use. The only flaw I can find is the lack of an actual power button. You can shut it down through settings, but why not a power button on the remote! And then, on occasion, it won't turn on without pressing the remote find button on top.
This isn't a deal breaker but it is an annoyance and could be a deal breaker in the right setting where the Roku is mounted in an area that isn't easily accessible.
But overall it's very nice, quick, peppy and good picture quality.

Had some issues

I bought this because I had an early 4K TV and I wanted to be able to see 4K content on it. When I plugged in the Roku4, it informed me that my TV did not have a compatible 4K HMI input, so I ended up having to buy a new TV in order to use the ROKU. The previous TV was not smart, but I ended up paying for a smart TV that I did not want, because all of the 4K TVs are now smart, so now I have redundant features on my TV and Roku4. The amount of 4K offerings seems pretty limited, and most of it at this time does seem appealing. I am rather disappointed with my purchase and should have stayed with my older TV and earlier Roku.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Much bigger than its previous models

Pros: 4K, appears to run the apps faster than Roku 3. Backwards compatible with 1080p. Works with HDMI 2.1 as well as 1.4 cables. Has button to locate remote (great when you have kids that like to hide things).
Cons: MUCH bigger than the Roku 3. Once a week YouTube locks up and I need to restart the Roku (doesn't happen with Roku 3).
