I have never had a Roku I was on the fence about getting it. But I am so glad I did I will be getting another one for my guess room nver soon.

I exchanged the Roku 3 for a 4 due to the recommendation of a wonderful support person who was trying to help me get the 3 to work. He recommended the 4 once I explained that I did not have a hard wire connection and that the hotel uses a portal entry to their wi-fi (no password, but requires acceptance of terms and conditions in order to connect). Unfortunately, this unit is very loud and I think I will have to exchange it...That's a bummer.

I have a Roku 3 and Roku 4 and I think is a five stars product for new Roku customers. The product perform excellent but personally I like more the Roku 3, the shortcuts in the remote are useful for a limited number of user personally for me are useless As Well the voice searching feature. Remote finder is ok. Tetris game come with It is a demo. I think more useful For Everybody is a web browser.
I love Roku, I will buy the next generations and I will still recommending it is As the beast stream box. This is my opinion.

Works well...

I have a Roku 3 so I have been awaiting the 4 to place in my living room. During initial setup it froze so I reached out for tech support online and was able to chat and receive help. It is small, seems fast but the fan is very noisy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Super features that just work!

I bought the ROKU 4 about 3 weeks ago instead of the recently released Apple TV because the ROKU 4 provides UHD 4K TV resolution to my 4K TV for brilliant shows! It also supports more channels. It was so easy to setup and to setup the new channels with username and password. Searching is great as it checks through each channel for the program, etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

One format away from five star

Pros: Amazing device, fast and lots of features. Far better than other devices at what it does.
Cons: large, gets very hot, almost unbearable setup process (was expecting to be asked what was my shoe size. Even just writing this review I am asked to answer questions about myself.), CAN'T PLAY DTS format, please fix that, I don't want o have to go back to WDtv.

Wow ... a lot faster

Every things pops up so fast! Bought it less than 2 weeks ago. Still wondering if it will have the overheating problems of Roku 3, but nothing yet. Is still warm to the touch. I really like the power off feature after 30 minutes of no activity.

Roku 4 the Best Roku Yet!

As an Admin of mkvXstream.com, it's been painful waiting for the new Roku 4 after one Android TV box after another came out with Quad Core processors that could play 4K. Thankfully the wait is over and I am happy to say it was worth the wait.
While the Roku 4 costs a little more, it is top quality which is evident from the moment you open the box. The packaging and build quality much resembles something you would get from Apple.
Some of the things which Roku added that were not yet seen on prior models are a reset button and a remote locator button. These are both handy features that will help make life simpler.
Performance of the Roku 4 is snappy and the picture quality even on non 4K content looks better. Sound is even clearer, and we find ourselves enjoying TV more instead of stopping the video to ask "what did they say?"
While there has been some concern over fan noise and we generally don't like fans, ours is totally silent even though it's inside a cabinet. To keep it even cooler we placed it on top of a large CPU heatsink, keeping the bottom air vents clear. Placing a hand on top, it barely feels warm.
Setup was a breeze using the simple and intuitive Roku interface. Once you login with your old password and Roku user name, your channels will all be there. You will need to re-enter your passwords and login info for channels like Netflix or Amazon and pair it again with any other cable channels you may use like Showtime or HBO so be sure to have this info handy.
While we have access to many different streamers, the one that gets used every day is a Roku. Software is easy to use and Roku by far offers the most content. This makes Roku our first choice as a primary cable cost shaving Internet streaming device.
