Pleased with performance

Bought this because my Samsung SmartHub was a miserable failure in running embedded apps. Kept on locking up netflix and would occasionally reset while streaming VUDU and AmazonPrime. For the money...."smart" TVs are overrated...this is not my first ROKU streamer and they clearly know how to develop reliable content.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The first one I received did not work properly. Talked on-line with Roku, tried several different options did not work

Awesome Streaming Box

Got the Roku 4 as a present - mostly to get/try Sling TV which was a success right out of the box. This is going to be used to replace the streaming features of my Smart Blu-Ray player and the Apple TV is going to a different TV in the household. The only negative is the remote has a Rdio button which is already basically defunct. (but better than my Blu-Ray player with the old logo Netflix button that's huge and often hit by mistake!)

I have two roku 3 players that have performed flawlessly for me for the past couple of years. When I saw the roku 4 came out I purchased it for our bedroom tv. Honestly haven't seen a big difference in performance, but that may just be due to the 3's being so fast to begin with.

Came over from an older model Apple TV as I am a TWC subscriber. This works very well with everything, and I have had no problems.

Good Stuff

So far so good with the Roku $. it is faster and the channels dont seem to buffer as much or as often. works great with Time Warner cable app and the NBA game time app. I did have one thing happen with the remote getting stuck and it would scroll through movies really fast but im not sure why this happened. Still though overall a great product.
