I've only had it for a few days and so far it's been a nice addition to our viewing experience. I don't have cable (too costly) and this seems to satisfy our television needs.

Money saving!

We just bought our Roku 4, and we are loving it. We can pick and choose which channels we want. And we only have to pay for something we really want. And I like there is no subscription fee!!! I would recommend this for anyone wanting to get away from cable, or to reduce cable cost.

I have 3 Rokus, and love them! The television was meant to be watched, not auctioned for 300 programs that you could care less about, and saw 3 years ago, and are still paying top money to catch a compressed view.

4K is great if you can tolerate LOUD DEVICE FANS!!

If you're a Roku 3 fan like me you rushed out to buy the new Roku 4 only to be disappointed. The device is much too loud and is sure to keep your significant other awake even when you use the earbuds. The device fans are EXTREMELY LOUD. In addition to that Roku decided to remove the one of their best features from the Roku 3, the 7 SECOND INSTANT REPLAY WITH SUBTITLES to make space for primitive voice search button. It's mind boggling they were inclined to add fairly useless channel buttons that you may never use in favor of keeping this popular feature. I also miss the remote strap. If they want to improve they should consider developing a fanless device that doesn't freeze and reboot, voice search that listens and allows you to search by genre, bring back the instant replay feature and remote strap, make a remote that is capable of replacing the most basic TV remote functions such as power and volume so less remotes are required. Lastly, implement to add a last channel button feature to the TWC app. Watching Sunday football through app would be a lot easier with this feature.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Voice search needs work.

Cannot tell any diference between this model and my Roku 2. I bought it because of voice search feature which is really useless compared to Fire TV or new Apple TV with Siri.

I upgraded from my older Roku unit to the Roku 4 rather than being held captive to Time Warner. What a dramatic difference and so easy to setup!!
