Faster Uploads and Clearer Picture

Have been very pleased so far...This unit is uploading faster and my picture seems to have been enhanced by some 30%...I have had no issues and also enjoy the over $100 rebates and gifts that came with the unit.

Expensive, needs updates.

I bought the roku 4 because of the 4k tv I just bought but for the price I was expecting something better. I've had to unplug the unit quite a few times already do to it locking up. Its pricey and doesn't do anything any better than the roku 3. If not for the fact that it is one of the few boxes that streams 4k content I would have took it back for a refund.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use and setup

I already owned a Roku2 and and it was easy to use and setup. Recently I purchased a SUHD TV and read that Roku4 supported 4K UHD. Again it was easy to setup and use.

I just purchased a Samsung 4K ultra HD 3D curved TV.
The Roku 4 said it was compatible with the new TV.
I have an older ROKU and it has worked fine?

First Run, Not So Sure

I have several Roku 3 boxes. There is currently some issues with Roku 4 and my Sling TV App. Numerous reboots and freezes. I believe it is a Sling TV issue and not my Roku 4. The box gets very hot so I've made sure to well ventilate it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good streaming media player.

I purchase two of the ROKU 4 streaming media players, one for the bedroom and one for the family room. They are both easy to setup. They work well for the most part. I am not using its 4K capability at this time but, eventually I will purchase a 4K TV so I like that it will be compatible. I have only had a couple of problems with the ROKU 4. When the headphone jack is use on the remote after about 30 minutes or so the sound becomes garbled. Not sure what the cause of this problem is. The internal fan intermittently makes a significant amount noise. Propping up the unit to allow sufficient air circulation appears to help the fan noise issue. The unit that I have in my family room is wired through my Sony home theater receiver. Every other time or third time I turn on the ROKU 4 on I get a message saying that the connection I am using doesn't meet copyright protections. My Sony home theater receiver is brand new. I am not going to change it because of the message. If I turn of the ROKU 4 off and on a couple times I can usually it to function normally. Both units seem to have the same problems. I have not contacted support yet regarding this issues. I can live with these short comings. If you want a streaming media player the does pretty much everything and has to have 4K capability, then the ROKU 4 is probably the only game in town. MarkR

Great photo, poor sound control

I'm happy I bought this but the sound doesn't always work. Not sure what happens but eventually I can get it to work.
