Good but not Great

I have Charter as my Internet and cable provider. Many of the channel apps don't have work. When I watch the any of the sports apps I am kicked out or unable to live stream any content. However, the video quality is what I expected leaving me mostly pleased.

Nice what freezes up every once in a while

It was easy to use easy to set up however on multiple occasions it freeze. There is a simple fix for it however it requires you to unplug the unit take the batteries out of the remote and then reset the Roku

Love the Roku 4

I have owned a Roku 3 for some time and it has fulfilled every streaming need I had with no problems. I recently bought a 4K TV and wanted more options than the TV's internal apps offered. My first Roku 4 was dead out of the box. It would power its light and fan up but it had no audio or video output. That's why I only gave it 4 stars. I know that with every new product there will be some bad units, so I would count this as an abnormality, not something that is common to the Roku 4. Thankfully my replacement Roku 4 has performed perfectly. It's as easy to use as my Roku 3 with the added bonus of 4K video. I have had no problems of any kind with the second Roku 4.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Extremely user friendly

Roku 4 is great with one drawback for me. The roku & my hisense 4k smart tv get divorced once in awhile meaning-purple screen with only audio. After i unplug the hdmi cord from roku & tv, then unplug power for both-re-plug the hdmi-plug up the power---- they become married again & it works like a champ.

Love the voice search features

I had the Roku 2 then I got 3. of the Roku 3 units loved them so when I saw the Roku 4 I wanted to try one and I like it very much far better quality H.D picture and the voice search feature I love that . Just state what you want to see and it finds all the places playing that requested video ..

Simple to operate and easy to navigate… Even for a novice. I have an apple TV device, as I'm a big apple fan, but it was really too complicated to operate... And it dropped my iPhone signal too often. Granted, my AppleTV is four or five years old.

I just updated from Roku 2, which was freezing at times. We are now using it in a different room. The Roku 4 has been excellent so far, very happy with purchase.

Constant lockups.

It's constantly locking up and freezing too the point that I can't back out.
